ContentFilm International has picked up international sales rights to The Details.
Written and directed by Jacob Estes, The Details stars James McAvoy, Elizabeth Banks, Laura Linney and Anna Friel. Content will be introducing the film to buyers at Cannes next week.
The Details tells the story of a couple whose domestic strife escalates into a chain of events that lead to infidelity, organ donation and murder.
The film, which is financed by New York-based Ergo Films, is set to go into production this summer, once McAvoy finishes treading the boards of London’s Apollo Theatre. He is currently starring in the play Three Days Of Rain.
Mark Gordon, Bryan Zuriff and Hagai Shaham are producing and the crew includes director of photography Sharone Meir, production designer Toby Corbett and editor Madeleine Gavin.
Content’s Cannes slate also includes Jon Cassar’s The Technician and Tom DiCillo’s When You’re Strange.
The Technician, currently in post-production, is a thriller about a sniper who decides he can no longer kill, while When You’re Strange is a documentary about Sixties band, The Doors, and includes rare exclusive footage.
