The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences and ABC Television Network have extended their contract to broadcast the Oscars through 2020.

The agreement adds six years to the existing contract, which was scheduled to expire in 2014. 

International rights are covered by a separate agreement with Walt Disney International, which runs through 2014.

The 83rd Academy Awards will air live on Feb 27 and will be the 36th consecutive ceremony to air on ABC.
