The 81st Annual Academy Awards will take place on February 22, 2009, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
Academy Of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences president Sid Ganis announced the date along with the rest of the timetable on Monday [April 14].
Official Screen Credits forms are due on December 1, nominations ballots must be mailed by December 26, nominations polls close on January 12, 2009, and the nominations will be announced on January 22, 2009.
Nominations are usually announced on a Tuesday, however next year's event has been moved to Thursday that week so as not to clash with the Presidential inauguration.
Final ballots must be mailed by January 28, 2009, and the nominees luncheon has been scheduled for February 2, 2009.
The Scientific and Technical Achievement Awards presentation will take place on February 7, 2009, and the final polls close on February 17, 2009.
