Maren Ade's German drama TheForest For The Trees won BestDramatic Feature at the 8th Annual Newport International Film Festival, withHeidi Ewing and Rachel Grady's The Boys Of Baraka taking top documentary honours.

Nicolas Cazale won the bestactor award for Le Grand Voyage,Eva Lobau took best actress honours for The Forest For The Trees, and Miranda July was named best director for MeAnd You And Everyone We Know.

July's picture also scoopedthe audience award for best feature, with Gillian Grisman's Press On taking documentary honours and Arlene DonnellyNelson's Positively Naked winningfor best short.

Best Screenplay went toAndrew Bujalski's Mutual Appreciation, Andrew Semans won Best Short Film for I'd Rather Be Dead Than AliveIn This World, and Chris Landreth's Ryan took short film jury prize honours.
