Worldwide rights holders Highland Film Group has reported a slew of sales at AFM on Christmas tale Shelby starring Chevy Chase.
Rights to Shelby have gone in the UK (Signature Entertainment), Australia/New Zealand (Jigsaw), Benelux (Just Bridge), France (Zylo), Middle East (Falcon), Slovakia (TV JOJ), former Yugoslavia (Padora), Turkey (Profile Media) and pan-Asian TV (Fox Asia).
Starz Media has acquired US rights and will distribute on home entertainment via Anchor Bay Entertainment.
John Paul Ruttan, Tom Arnold and the voice talent of Rob Schneider round out the cast on the Christma tale of a dog that escapes from the pound and lands at the home of an aspiring young magician and his grandfather.
UK and Los Angeles-based producer-financier The Fyzz Facility fully developed the original story before going on to finance the project in conjunction with Canadian producers Naked Fury and Outpost Media.
Wayne Marc Godfrey, David Gilbery and Robert Jones served as executive producers for The Fyzz Facility.
