Critics Week has crowned Aida Begic's Snow with its Grand Prize.

The film is a co-production from Bosnia Herzegovina, Germany, France and Iran and along with the prize also comes with a $8,000 (Euros 5,000) purse given to the director.

The ensemble drama about the aftermath of the Balkan war is being handled by Pyramide International.

The SACD (France's equivalent of the writers' guild) gave its prize to Moscow , Belgium by Christophe Van Rompaey.

The Belgian feature debut is sold by Bavaria Film International. The film will also receive Euros 4,000 for help in its French distribution as well as a Euros 4,000 award to the director from the CCAS, a social activities fund.

The OFAJ/TV5 Monde award went to Blood Appears by Pablo Fendrik. The prize is given by a panel of student critics and the film is handled by Coach 14.

Canal Plus' grand prize for the best short film went to Denis Villeneuve's Next Floor . The film also gets an airing on the pay-TV network. The Kodak discovery prize for a short was given to Skhizein by Jeremy Clapin.

Finally, Valeria Gaia Guermanika's Everyone Dies But Me was awarded the Prix Regards Jeunes given by a group of seven young European cinephiles
