Alison Meese has been promoted to head of UK acquisitions at Optimum Releasing (soon to be rebranded StudioCanal). Also, Isabelle Stewart is promoted to Acquisitions Manager.
Optimum CEO Danny Perkins announced the promotions.
Meese will now be responsible for UK acquisitions, with Berenice Fugard taking on a new role as acquisitions consultant for StudioCanal. They will work with their counterparts at StudioCanal in France and Germany on multi-territory acquisitions as well as acquisitions for international sales.
“Alison has been with the company for many years and has always shown great insight and knowledge in evaluating projects for us,” said Danny Perkins, CEO Optimum Releasing. “I am delighted that she’ll be heading up Acquisitions in the UK and with this new structure I am sure that we will be well positioned to continue sourcing the very best titles for the company to release in the UK and across the group.”
Optimum’s forthcoming releases include Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, W.E., The Awakening and Tyrannosaur.
