Distributor Alliance Films has reversed its decision to ban critics from the Globe and Mail newspaper at its preview screenings.
The Toronto-based distributor had told the paper its reviewers were no longer welcome following a negative review and a negative column of Sex And The City as well as a front-page banner reflecting the views.
The ban was to be enforced at a July 2 screening of Patricia Rozema's Kit Kittridge: An American Girl but the Toronto director was on hand at the cinema to ensure Globe writers could preview the film.
The film has grossed $15.4m (C$15.7m) since opening in Canada May 30.
