Amanda Palmer is stepping down as executive director of the Doha Film Institute, after three years running the Doha Tribeca Film Festival.
She will launch a new talent agency and production company based in Qatar.
Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani, Chairperson of DFI Board said: “Amanda played an instrumental role in growing DTFF and positioning DFI as a recognised film entity over the past three years. Under her leadership, DFI has established many successful relationships with key industry professionals and other international organisations which we will continue to build on. Amanda has made an extraordinary personal contribution to the organisation since 2010 and we are proud of what DFI has achieved in this short time. On behalf of DFI, I would like to thank Amanda for all her dedication and wish her well in her future endeavours.”
