Peter Ho-sun Chan’s American Dreams In China had a strong opening weekend in China, grossing $17.8m (RMB110m) in three days (May 17-19).

Co-distributed by China Film Group and We Pictures, the film follows three friends who establish a multi-billion dollar English tutorial business together. The cast is headed by Huang Xiaoming, Deng Chao and Tong Dawei.

We Distribution is handling international sales on the film which opens in Hong Kong on May 30.
