Marcus, who joined the company in summer 2005, will oversee operations and continue to manage the structured finance division. He will continue to report directly to Ryan Kavanaugh.
'I believe that having Andrew on board to oversee our business growth and operations is critical to Relativity Media's continued success,' Kavanaugh said.
'He has been a key player in the company's recent accomplishments, and we look forward to continuing and expanding our relationship with him.'
'The past two years have been extraordinary in so many ways, and I look forward to expanding my responsibilities at the company as we look forward to continued growth in the future,' Marcus said.
Marcus helped structure the Gun Hill Road I and Gun Hill Road II film financing packages as well as the recent Beverly Blvd five-year co-financing deal with Sony.
Marcus previously served as a financial consultant and as a production executive at GreeneStreet Films, where he worked on In The Bedroom and Swimfan. He began his career at Miramax Films.
Relativity co-founder and company principal Lynwood Spinks announced recently that due to health reasons he will take a more hands-off role and serve as a consultant.
