Spanish broadcaster Antena 3 has announced several new executive appointments following the anti-trust authorities' greenlight to Grupo Planeta's buy-out of a 25.1% stake in the network.
Planeta executives Jose Manuel Lara Bosch and Maurizio Carlotti will control Antena 3 as president and CEO, respectively. An Italian Mediaset veteran, Carlotti formerly held the CEO post at Antena 3 rival Telecinco.
Their new executive team includes: former Atlas executive president Javier Bardaji as director of contents; previous Ono general director Silvio Gonzalez as general director of management; former Citygroup general director Giorgio Sbampato as director of coordination; and former Telefonica Contenidos director of analysis Braulio Calleja as director of communications.
