Arclight Films has boarded worldwide sales rights to the ensemble coming-of-age drama Chasing Wonders led by Paz Vega and will launch sales during Toronto International Film Festival.
The key cast includes Edward James Olmos, Quim Gutierrez, Carmen Maura, Antonio de la Torre, Jessica Marais, and newcomer Michael Crisafulli.
Australian screenwriter Judy Morris (Happy Feet, Babe: Pig In The City) wrote the screenplay about a 12-year-old only child who defies his father’s wishes and takes off on the adventure of a lifetime to find the magical Emu Plains. Hilton Nathanson is the filmmaker.
Anna Vincent (I Am Mother), Stewart Le Marechal (Swimming With Men), Anna Mohr-Pietsch (Swimming With Men), Nathanson, and Louise Nathanson serve as producers. John Persey (The Mercy) and Timothy White (I Am Mother, The Furnace) are executive producers.
Rattle and Hum Films present in association with the South Australian Film Corporation a Met Film, and SLA Films production.

Head of Australian operations and worldwide acquisitions Michelle Krumm negotiated the deal on behalf of Arclight with SLA Films co-founder Vincent on behalf of the filmmakers.
Chasing Wonders is scheduled to receive its world premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival on October 23.
Arclight Films’ slate includes horror-thriller Bloody Hell; cult thriller The Color Rose by Courtney Paige; The King’s Daughter, starring Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario, and narrated by Julie Andrews; and epic female-driven action film Tomiris which will be released in the U.S. by Well Go USA.
