Stefan Arndt has been awarded the Producer Prize at this year's Cologne Conference. The Casting Award went to Anja Dihrberg.
Arndt is one of four partners, along with Tom Tykwer, Wolfgang Becker and Dani Levy, in hot Berlin production outfit X-Filme creative pool which has credits including Run Lola Run, Life Is All You Get and Stille Nacht.
Dihrberg was responsible for casting productions such as Roland Suso Richter's After The Truth, Lars Becker's Das Gelbe Vom Ei, and the ZDF series Nesthocker.
Listings magazine TV Spielfilm gave its award for best programme to Dutch filmmaker Frank Ketelaar for his Hitchcockian thriller De Trein Van Zes Uur Tien.
A new prize, created this year to honour the outstanding achievements of a screenwriter, was presented to Guenter Schuetter, who has a long-standing co-operation with Dominik Graf. He is currently working on the script for Helmut Dietl's long-gestating Loreley.
