The star of Hugo and upcoming lead in Ender’s Game will collect the CinemaCon Rising Star Of 2013 Award at a ceremony in Las Vegas on Apr 18.

“With a stunning turn in the title role of Hugo, Butterfield has already proven himself as one to watch in Hollywood,” said CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser.

“In a short time, he has already endured himself to audiences and critics alike with his captivating on-screen performances, and I cannot think of a young actor more deserving to be this year’s CinemaCon Rising Star.”

The convention is scheduled to run at Caesars Palace from Apr 15-18.
