Switzerland 's Ascot Elite has bought rights to all German-speaking territories for Paddy Breathnach's horror thriller Shrooms.
Capitol Films closed the deal after a bidding war during Berlin's European Film Market. Capitol's head of sales James Norrie and Ascot Elite COO Stephan Giger negotiated the deal.
Shroomsstars Lindsay Haun and Jack Huston in the story of five US college students who travel to Ireland in search of magic mushrooms and become murder targets.
'We are absolutely delighted that Ascot Elite has taken all German speaking rights to Shrooms,' Norrie said. 'Ascot Elite is a first rate distributor which has had great success in the past with the horror genre and we look forward to them repeating this with Shrooms, not only in Switzerland but in Germany and Austria as well.'
