Ascot Elite Entertainment Group has picked up Swiss theatrical and DVD rights to Pascal Verdosci's political thriller The Interrogation Of Harry Wind which began shooting in Basle last week.
The adaptation of a novel by Matthias Diggelmann, one of the leading post-war Swiss novelists with Max Frisch and Friedrich Dürrenmatt, stars Klaus-Maria Brandauer (The Red Baron) opposite Sebastian Koch (The Lives Of Others, Black Book).
Set in Zurich in the 1950s, the story centres on a special agent near retirement taking on the case of an influential PR entrepreneur accused of espionage. A ruthless game of cat and mouse ensues in this two-hander where the interrogator soon realises that his seemingly well-ordered world is not what it seems.
Ascot Elite will serve as executive producer on the film whose worldwide rights are being handled by Beta Film.
