The alternative content producer, which provides content such as music and sport to cinemas, is branching out into the UK, with a Soho based office.
Australian alternative content provider and distributor CinemaLive is opening an office in the UK.
The decision to branch out into the UK is in response to a growing demand for alternative content internationally, according to the company.
CinemaLive was set up in Australia three years ago by part of The Shooting Star Picture Company. The producer and distributor of altnernative content including music, comedy, sport and family entertainment has released events for cinemas including several of Andre Rieu’s concerts and Opera Australia’s The Marriage of Figaro and Rigoletto.
Helen Jones, who previously worked in post production for Sony, will head up the Soho based office as distribution manager and cinema liaison.
Peter Skillman, director and CEO of The Shooting Star Picture Company said the launch of the UK office would “strengthen our relationships in the European market and allow us to more effectively service the growing number of territories demanding our product.”
