Hours after the New York Film Critics Circle favoured Boyhood, the Gotham Awards have presented two key honours to Birdman.

The film was named best feature and earned a best actor prize for Michael Keaton.

Julianne Moore was named best actress for Still Alice, while CITIZENFOUR prevailed in the documentary category. The Gotham Independent Film Audience Award went to Boyhood.
