Selma star David Oyelowo will receive the 26th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival’s (PSIFF) Breakthrough Performance Award.
PSIFF top brass will present The Imitation Game with the ensemble performance award. The presentations will take place at the awards gala on January 3.
Oyelowo plays Martin Luther King Jr in Selma, Ana DuVernay’s Civil Rights drama from Pathé that Paramount releases in the US on December 25.
The cast of The Imitation Game includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Rory Kinnear, Allen Leech, Matthew Beard, Charles Dance and Mark Strong.
PSIFF runs from January 2-12.
