Academy voters have made their pre-nomination selections on the road to the 87th Oscars.

The films listed in alphabetical order are:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2;
Foxcatcher;
The Grand Budapest Hotel;
Guardians Of The Galaxy;
Maleficent (pictured);
Noah; and
The Theory Of Everything.

On January 10 all members of the Academy’s makeup artists and hairstylists branch will be invited to view 10-minute excerpts from each of the seven shortlisted films before selecting their three nominees.

The Academy unveils its nominations on January 15 while the awards show takes place on February 22.
