BAFTA and Creative Skillset have partnered to host guest lectures from some of the UK’s premiere film and television talent.
The BAFTA Creative Skillset Guest Lecture Programme will feature Bafta winners and nominees such as screenwriter Neil McKay (See No Evil: The Moors Murders), who will kick off the series at Livepool John Moores University on Jan 29.
The University of Glamorgan and Norwich University College of the Arts will feature talks on animation as well as game arts and design. Production, post-production, and hair and make-up will also be covered in the lecture series’ first six sessions according to each host university’s needs.
Creative Skillset deputy CEO, Kate O’Connor, commented: “So many careers are built on the momentum created by a spark of inspiration, an image, a conversation, an experience, a moment in time…and we’re excited to be working with BAFTA to give the practitioners of the future invaluable insights from the country’s leading lights.”
