BAFTA LA and the British Council have teamed up to present a series of screenings of new British films in Los Angeles.

The series entitled New Blood From Britain is intended to enable BAFTA LA members to see films which they might want to nominate for the Alexander Korda Award shortlist.

The series began this week with a double bill of The Big Tease and The Tichborne Claimant. It continues with East Is East (Jan 25), The Trench (Jan 31), Human Traffic (Feb 8), Ratcatcher (Feb 16) and Beautiful People (Feb 23).
