UK university launches practical filmmaking course aimed at directors, producers, DOPs, editors

Bath Spa University is to launch a practical filmmaking course geared towards aspiring directors, producers, DOPs, editors and other creative roles within the industry.

The post-graduate course, which is hosted by the University’s media production business Artwork Media, aims to equip students with professional contacts and hands on experience, culminating in a completed feature film.

The course will last 12 months with modules ranging from production to international film business and distribution techniques.

Applications close on September 15, with interviews taking place on September 22 for a place on the October 2011 course.
