BavariaFilm International (BFI) has added three new titles to its sales lineup fromChinese filmmaker Li Yu, Spain's Montxo Armendariz and Austria's AntoninSvoboda
The triowill be screening at the film festivals in Venice, Toronto and San Sebastiannext month.
Li Yu'sChinese-French co-production Hongyan (Dam Street)will be premiering in Venice's Orizzonti and then showing in Toronto'sDiscovery sidebar, while Armendariz's Obaba will openthe official competition in San Sebastian and also be shown in Toronto'sMasters section.
Svoboda's YouBet Your Life (Spiele Leben) about a compulsive gambler,meanwhile, will be shown in the Discovery section in Toronto and compete forthe New Directors Award in the Zabaltegi in San Sebastian.
BFI hadpreviously taken on the handling of international sales for Philip Groening'screative documentary about the Carthusian order in Into Great Silence (DieGrosse Stille) which will have its world premiere inVenice's Orizzonti and then screen in Toronto's Real to Reel documentarysidebar.
AnotherBFI title, Singaporean filmmaker Eric Khoo's Be With Me,which opened this year's Directors' Fortnight in Cannes, will be shown inToronto's Discovery programme.
