The 20th European Film Awards, to be held Dec 1 in Berlin, will be hosted by French actress Emmanuelle Beart and German actor Jan Josef Liefers.
EFA president Wim Wenders will deliver opening remarks to the 1,400 guests at Berlin 's Arena. Other guests will include Jeanne Moreau and Liv Ullmann. As previously announced, Jean-Luc Godard and Michael Ballhaus will receive honorary awards.
Other presenters include actresses Alicja Bachleda-Curus from Poland, Maria Grazia Cucinotta from Italy, Virginie Ledoyen from France, Maia Morgenstern from Romania, Sonja Richter from Denmark, Johanna ter Steege from the Netherlands, and Lucy Russell from the UK. Actors presenting are actors Jean-Marc Barr from France, Mehmet Kurtulus from Germany, Spaniard Sergi Lopez, Mads Mikkelsen from Denmark, Juanjo Puigcorbe from Spain, and Maciej Stuhr from Poland.
The evening's house band will be the Leningrad Cowboys, Finland 's star of Aki Kaurismaki films.
