Belgian tax fund Motion Investment Group (MIG) has raised finance for two co-productions - The Possibility of an Island and Disco.
The first is a futuristic drama based on the potential for human cloning and marks the directorial debut of novelist Michel Houllebecq and starring Benoit Magimel,
The film is produced by Mandarin films and co-produced by WAT Productions in Belgium and Morena Films in Spain.
Disco is a nostalgic drama directed by Fabien Onteniente (Camping) produced by LGM Productions and Studio Canal. The Eu18M feature's high profile cast includes Gerard Depardieu, Emmanuelle Beart, Isabelle Nanty and Franck Dubosc.
In the last two years, Motion Investment Group, the largest film financing source in Belgium, has raised over $34m (Euros 25m) and invested this in 24 films worth $340m (Euros 250m.)
