Kristen Bell and Matt Lucas have joined the voice cast of Imagi Studios' CG-animated Astro Boy which has been set for a domestic release through Summit on Oct 23, 2009. Summit is also handling international sales except for Japan, Hong Kong and China.
They join the previously announced cast of Nicolas Cage, Donald Sutherland, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy and Eugene Levy with Freddie Highmore in the lead role.
The film follows a young robot in the future who goes in search of his identity and destiny. David Bowers is directing from a screenplay written by Timothy Harris. Maryann Garger is producing.
