Asghar Farhadi’s feted Competition title Nader & Simin: A Separation has closed a number of deals.

Memento Films International has already signed with Benelux (Cinéart), Spain (Golem), Australia & New Zealand (Hopscotch), Poland (Gutek), Austria (Film Laden), Switzerland (Trigon), Greece (Strada), Ex-Yougoslavia (Megacom), with further deals in final negotiations with US, UK, Italy and Scandinavia.
Memento Films Distribution will handle French release.

The family drama is set in modern Tehran. The cast features Leila Hatami, Peyman Moadi, Shahab Hosseini, Sareh Bayat and Sarina Farhadi

The film is leading the pack for Screen’s critics’ jury here in Berlin. The film screens again this morning at 9:30 at Friedrichstadtpalast.

Farhadi, who also produced Nader & Simin, won the 2009 Silver Bear for Best Director for his second feature About Elly.

Memento’s slate also includes Top Floor, Left Wing in Panorama and Hi-So in Forum.
