60 features and shorts will screen at Generation’s new venue, the House of World Cultures. Among the titles will be Zhang Yimou’s Under The Hawthorn Tree, Andy De Emmony’s West Is West and Leon Ford’s Griff The Invisible.

The Generation section also today announced that it will continue its Berlinale School Project, which gives teachers from Berlin and Brandenburg the chance to watch films in advance of their screenings so as to take their students to the most suitable and educational films.
Generation, the festival section whose films are dedicated to children and youths, has been running since 1978. The best adjudged films from the two sub-sections are awarded Crystal Bears.
