Beyond Films is to handleworld sales on Ghosts, the newfeature written and directed by renowned British documentary maker NickBroomfield.
Ghosts, Broomfield's first dramatic feature since DiamondSkulls, is based on the true storyof the Chinese illegal immigrants who were drowned while picking cockles in aBritish seaside town. The main characters are played by Chinese former illegalimmigrants.
Ghosts is the first film to go through the new jointventure between Beyond Films and Head Gear Films which was announced during theBerlin Film Festival. The deal sees the companies providing a minimum guaranteeagainst worldwide rights.
Ghosts was produced by Nick Broomfield and Jez Lewis withCharles Finch of Finch & Partners executive producing.
The film was fully funded byChannel 4. Currently in the final stages of post-production, it will belaunched at an autumn festival.
