The British Film Institute (BFI) has announced a 3D partnership with electronics giant Samsung whereby Samsung will have access to hold screenings at the BFI IMAX and the BFI Southbank in London.
The British Film Institute (BFI) has announced a 3D partnership with electronics giant Samsung whereby Samsung will have access to hold screenings at the BFI IMAX and the BFI Southbank in London.
The partnership follows on from the launch of the first 3D TV’s in the UK market by Samsung on April 22.
Samsung will be entitled to hold screenings at the IMAX and a season of Samsung 3D screenings throughout the year at BFI Southbank, showcasing new 3D releases alongside the BFI’s archived 3D content. Screenings will be accompanied by a series of lectures with experts in film and television.
Samsung will also furnish the BFI buildings on the South Bank with Samsung 3D television screens.
