LA-based Bleiberg Entertainment has picked up international rights to Panorama entry Phobidilia and will launch sales here.

Brothers Doron and Yoav Paz’ social anxiety tale screens tomorrow [13] and originally premiered in Toronto.

It centres on a young man who has lived a hermetic existence in his apartment for more than four years who learns his landlord is about to sell the building.

The Paz brothers make their feature directorial debut and come from a commercials, music video and short films background.

Bleiberg CEO Ehud Bleiberg brokered the deal with the film’s representatives.

“We feel very fortunate to be representing the only feature film from Israel selected for this year’s Berlinale,” Bleiberg’s acquisitions head Nicholas Donnermeyer said. “The Paz brothers have an effortless, natural storytelling ability that is instantly apparent in Phobidilia.”
