blinkbox, the film and TV website, has announced two new digital video deals with leading Hollywood studios, 20th Twentieth Century Fox and Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI).
blinkbox has also extended its partnership with Warner Bros. digital distribution, securing a digital distribution deal for the studio's TV catalogue.
The new agreements bring the number of Hollywood studios distributing through blinkbox to five and the number of film titles available to download to over 1500.
Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Bros. have been onboard since blinkbox launched in October 2007.
Michael Comish, CEO of blinkbox said: 'Although the economic climate is very tough, it's been an exceptional year for blinkbox. We've managed to secure programming from the biggest and best studios in the industry and grow our audience to nearly half a million users a month.
Through the agreement with SPTI, customers will be able to digitally purchase a wide selection of Sony Pictures movie titles including Taxi Driver and Snatch. In addition, SPTI will also provide a range of edited versions of classic Sony Pictures TV shows.
The new library of premium films available from 20th Twentieth Century Fox to download and rent will include the likes of Juno, Moulin Rouge, Jumper, Fantastic Four, Ice Age and What Happens In Vegas.
