First films for Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival announced
The first eight titles of the Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival’s (Nov 29-Dec 14) (BAPFF) 80-strong lineup have been announced.
2014 Cannes Palme d’Or winner Winter Sleep highlights the first group of films announced for the inaugural event.
Also headlining at the festival is the world premiere of Australian documentary William Yang: Blood Links.
Other films announced include:
· From What is Before (The Philippines)
· Black Coal, Thin Ice (PRC)
· Tokyo Tribe (Japan)
· The Dead Lands (New Zealand)
· Gett, The Trial of Viviane Amsalem(Israel)
· Corn Island (Georgia)
“BAPFF will highlight international investment opportunities in the Brisbane film industry and draw attention to the vibrant local film culture,” said Lord Mayor Graham Quirk.
The BAPFF is also showcasing filmmakers, films and documentaries in December’s Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA).
