The world premiere of Fox International’s Japanese re-imagining of Alexander Payne’s Sideways will close the Napa Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival on September 27.

Japan-born US director Cellin Gluck shot the film on location in Napa with a cast led by Rinko Kikuchi, Kyoka Suzuki, Fumiyo Kohinata and Katsuhisa Namase.

Sidewayswill get its international premiere in Tokyo on October 5 ahead of the October 31 national roll-out.

Plans to release it in the US and remaining international territories will be unveiled in due course.
