Delphis Films has sold fourterritories on Andrei Kravchuk's foreign-language Oscar submissionTheItalian, one of a clutch of titlesthe Montreal-based sales company has sold out of Cannes.
The recently launched Delphissigned theatrical and DVD deals with Fidalgo for Norway, Kamras for Finland,Cine Video y TV for Mexico and Multivision for Bulgaria. The company also soldPieter Kujpers' The Horror Bus toJapan's King Records for DVD as well as Martin Koolhoven's Bonkers to Revolver for Italy and Andre Melancon's DanielAnd The Superdogs to Japan's FineFilms.
Commenting on the company'sfirst foray into the Cannes market, Xiaojuan Zhou, vice-president ofdistribution, said she anticipates further deals on The Italian from Japan, China, Spain, Greece and France. The filmopens in the US later this year through Sony Pictures Classics.
