Milla Jovovich has joined Robert De Niro and Ed Norton on the cast of Mimran Schur Pictures’ thriller Stone.
Nu Image has started pre-selling the film, which is due to start shooting tomorrow (May 18), in Cannes. It is being shot in Michigan.
Jovovich will play the wife of a convicted arsonist (Norton) who is deployed in a psychological game of cat-and-mouse with his parole officer, played by De Niro.
John Curran, who previously directed Norton in The Painted Veil, is directing from Angus Maclachlan’s script. Jovovich will next be seen in The Perfect Getaway and The Fourth Kind.
This marks the first feature from Mimran Schur Pictures, formed earlier this year by private investor David Mimran and longtime music business executive and former Geffen Records president Jordan Schur.
Holly Wiersma, Schur and Mimran are producing, with Nu Image/Millennium’s Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, Avi Lerner and Rene Besson serving as executive producers.
Nu Image’s slate includes 3D thriller Dark Country, which Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group has for North America and stars Thomas Jane.
The roster includes Conan The Barbarian, Red Sonja, and The Expendables, which is shooting in New Orleans after several weeks on location in Brazil.
