The first Dutch dance film is due to start principal photography next spring.
Dutch distributor A-Film has closed a distribution deal with production company Nijenhuis & Co for Body Language, billed as the first Dutch dance film.
Producers Johan Nijenhuis and Bernard Tulp developed the film with co-producer Launch Works Ltd.
It is currently in pre-production with principal photography due to start next spring. A release is planned for autumn 2011.
The feel good film is about five Dutch dance crews who are due to fly to New York for a contest. When the trip is cancelled, one dancer from each crew decides to go anyway; with no money or crew, they are forced to dance to get by. Roy Julen is responsible for the choreography, while Giorgio Tuinfort will produce the music.
