Lee Joon-ik’s (pictured) epic action title Blades Of Blood sells to a raft of territories including the UK and Thailand.
Seoul-based sales company M-Line Distribution has sold Lee Joon-ik’s Blades Of Blood to the UK’s Metrodome, J-Bics for Thailand, PT Amero Mitra Film for Indonesia and IRIB Media Trade for Iran.
The epic action title follows two 16th century swordsmen who want to change the world but end up fighting each other due to their different ideas about revolution. Lee’s credits include period blockbuster King And The Clown.
Blades Of Blood was also pre-sold to Splendid for Germany and Benelux and VIP888 for Latin America at this year’s European Film Market in Berlin.
M-Line has also pre-sold Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp, a sequel to last year’s horror hit, to Catchplay for Taiwan, while Maybe Both, starring Jang Hyuk, has gone to Fine Film for Japan. Le Grand Chef 2: Kimchi Battle was sold to Taiwan (AV-Jet), Malaysia (Hwa Yea) and Iran (IRIB Media Trade).
