EXCLUSIVE: Cinemavault has acquired worldwide rights to the thriller Dark Blood, which earned notoriety for being the film River Phoenix was acting at the time of his death in 1993.
After Phoenix’s death, director George Sluizer resuscitated the film and landed a slot in the Berlinale last February.
Judy Davis and Jonathan Pryce also star in the story about a solitary young widower who lives in the Arizona desert on a nuclear testing site when unwitting honeymooners drive up.
Dark Blood will receive its first market screening in Cannes.
