The US company has reported packed 3D market screenings of the animiated adventure.
Patrick Ewald’s Los Angeles-based Epic Pictures Group has closed sales on its animated adventure Space Dogs 3D. Rights have gone to One Movie in Italy, HGC in China, Thomas in South Korea, ITI Cinema in Poland, Melis in Turkey, and Shapria in Israel.
Ewald has reported sold-out REAL-D 3D market screenings for the English language tale about the two Russian canines sent into space. The film was produced in Russia by Vadim Sotskov under the CNF-Anima banner and at a reported cost of $35m.
Meanwhile, Epic Pictures and Malaysian-based KRU Studios’ previously announced partnership on big budget action films is continuing apace. Ewald is screening four minutes of footage from the $6m action adventure The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines.
Deals have already closed with Metrodome in the UK, F.I.P. in France, Elite Film in Germany, and Daro in CIS.
