Global Screen is handling international sales for the restored version of Billy Wilder’s Fedora, which is screening in Cannes Classics.
Bavaria Media has digitally remastered the film in HD in cooperation with Cinepostproduction. The film first premiered out of competition in Cannes in 1978. William Holden and Marthe Keller lead the cast.
Bavaria Media handles the German-speaking rights and deals have been done with Carlotta in France, Eurovideo in Germany and Olive Films in North America.
Bavaria’s other HD restorations include like Jerzy Skolimowski’s Deep End, Ted Kotcheff´s Who’s Killing The Great Chefs of Europe, Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s Berlin Alexanderplatz, Despair and I Only Want You To Love Me as well as Robert Aldrich’s Twilight’s Last Gleaming.
Most Bavaria Media restorations have been supported by Robert Fischer’s Fiction Factory Filmproduktion, which has created HD documentaries on the making of the films.
