EXCLUSIVE: Deals for the comedy, starring Clive Owen [pictured], have closed on the likes of Latin America and Germany.

International Film Trust sales head Ariel Veneziano has been introducing the company’s debut slate in Cannes, closing a handful of territories on Clive Owen comedy King of the Kastle.

Rights have gone to Latin America (Leda), the Middle East (Shooting Stars), Germany (ZDF) and India (PVR). Offers are pending in other key territories.

Buyers have responded to the roster, which includes Cannes special screening Max Rose, IFT’s first acquisition in the form of horror tale Exists, and two from Richard Saperstein’s The Genre Company, The Toxic Avenger to star Arnold Schwarzenegger and Cell.

The Stephen King adaptation is set to begin shooting in September and IFT co-founder Michael Benaroya is fully financing. Deals closed before the market in Australia (Jump Street), Latin America (Leda) and Benelux (BFD).
