After working together on the Robert Duvall hit Get Low, sales company K5 is again working with producer Dean Zanuck and his company Zanuck Independent on two new titles headed to Cannes Market.
The films are Eric Howell’s Voice From The Stone, produced by Zanuck and Stefano Gallini Durante of Code 39. The story is about a young nurse caring for a young boy in an old Italian manor, she has to combat evil forces to save herself and the boy. Howell previously directed Ana’a Playground.
The second title K5 is selling is Ezna Sands’ Liberty Lane, produced by Zanuck and Scott Fischer (The Bank Job). The story is about a conman who plans a prison break with a gang-leader who wants to reunite with his estranged son.
Dean Zanuck said: “After a successful collaboration on Get Low, I am thrilled to be back in business with K5 on my next two productions.”
Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur of K5 added, “Dean Zanuck is a great producer. We’re delighted to be extending this fruitful relationship with these two exceptional new movies.”
K5’s Cannes slate also includes the Paul Walker-starring thriller Vehicle 19.
