The German sales outfit has sold the Berlin Golden Bear winner to Olive Films.
The Match Factory has sold Berlin Golden Bear winner Honey (Bal), directed by Semih Kaplanoglu, to Olive Films for North America.
The deal was closed in Cannes this week along with Yumurta (Egg) and Sut (Milk), the preceding films of Kaplanoglu’s Yusuf Trilogy.
Further North American deals were signed between Olive Films and The Match Factory for last year’s Golden Bear winner The Milk Of Sorrow by Claudia Llosa (North America) and Me Too by Álvaro Pastor and Antonio Naharro.
“We are delighted about this new relationship with Farhad Arshad of Olive Films, who shares our enthusiasm for films from exceptional filmmakers and will introduce them to North American audiences,” said Michael Weber, Managing Director of The Match Factory.
