Mongrel Media has acquired all Canadian rights to Abdellatif Kechiche’s Blue Is The Warmest Colour (La Vie d’Adèle – Chapitre 1 & 2) ahead of its world premiere in competition on Thursday [23].
The film recounts a love story about a teenage girl whose world is turned upside-down when she encounters a young woman with blue hair. Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos star.
Abdellatif Kechiche and Ghalya Lacroix adapted the screenplay from Julie Maroh’s comic book Le Bleu Est Une Couleur Chaude.
Mongrel Media plans a 2014 release.
