Hungry Canadian buyer Mongrel Media has snapped up four more films in Cannes, taking the competition trio Jimmy P., Like Father, Like Son and Young And Beautiful as well as Un Certain Regard entry Bastards.
Mongrel will release the films in Canada in 2014 and previously acquired Canadian rights to Inside Llewyn Davis, La Grande Bellezza and Blue Is The Warmest Colour.
Arnaud Desplechin’s English-language drama Jimmy P.[pictured] stars Benicio Del Toro and Mathieu Amalric, while Japan’s Hirokazu Kore-eda directed Like Father, Like Son.
Abdellatif Kechiche’s Blue Is The Warmest Color stars Lea Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Claire Denis’s Bastards stars Vincent Lindon.
