The Sierra/Affinity Cannes slate continues to expand with Villa Capri, an action comedy to star Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones.

Ron Shelton will direct the story about an ex-FBI agent and a former mob lawyer in the witness protection programme who must work together to avoid a mob hit.

CAA packaged the project and represents US rights.

eOne and Endurance Media are financing and eOne will distribute directly in its markets: the UK, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, Spain and Benelux.

Billy Gerber and Endurance’s Steve Richards are producing, while John Mass and Alan Simpson are executive producers on the film.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in New Mexico this summer.
