Scandinavian powerhouse TrustNordisk has announced a US deal on Danish prison drama R.
Olive Films has acquired the North American rights to Danish prison drama R. NinetySeven has also acquired the film for France.
The deals were negotiated between TrustNordisk head of sales Susan Wendt, Farhad Arshad from Olive Films and Bertrand Devort from NinetySeven in France respectively.
Wendt said: “We are very happy that the film is being appreciated abroad and to have such passionate distributors on board. We are confident that they will do the absolute best for the film in their territories”.
Olive Films is planning to release the film theatrically during the first half of 2011.
R is written and directed by Michael Noer and Tobias Lindholm and produced by Tomas Radoor and René Ezra for Nordisk Film Production with support from The Danish Film Institute (New Danish Screen).
